Aware that any activity has a direct or indirect impact on the environment, Ooredoo has implemented several actions as part of a responsible strategy in all departments of the company in order to preserve the environment.

Ooredoo regularly educates its staff on the need to reduce printing and therefore paper consumption. Ecological bins have been set up at each office to collect used paper and recycle it.

Ooredoo is trying to establish the tradition of saving energy by encouraging the shutdown of computers during long weekends. Also, all technical rooms are equipped with high-performance equipment that optimizes energy consumption.

Indeed, for energy-intensive buildings (MSC headquarters and technical sites), Ooredoo has provided several solutions:

• Replacement of halogen spotlights with economical spotlights
• Replacement of ferromagnetic ballasts of luminaires by other electronic types
• Time programming for the operation of office air conditioning systems
• For new buildings, an “energy saving” parameter has been integrated for a selection of equipment (elevators, UPS, air conditioners, lighting, etc.).
