Run Bylaws
Article 1 - Organization : OOREDOO NIGHT RUN BY XIAOMI is a race organized by Ooredoo Tunisia in partnership with Xiaomi. The event will take place on Saturday, April 23rd ,2022.
Article 2 – Distances : The event’s village will be located at the Habib Bourguiba Avenue. There are three run distances: 10Km, 5Km, 1.2Km. The 10Km run will be open to all athletes, license holders or not, aged 18 and over. The 5Km run will be open to all athletes, license holders or not, aged 14 and over. The 1.2Km run will be open to kids aged between 6 and 12 years old. It is expressly stated that the runners will participate in the competition under their own responsibility.
Article 3 – Registration and procedures : Registrations will be done electronically on the website of the race’s URL. The pick-up of the sports bib will be done by the participants (or any other person duly authorized by them), from the Ooredoo store chosen by them during the online registration. According to the opening hours of these stores - until the 20/04 (closing date of registrations) – in exchange for payment of a participation fee is set at 5dt for the 5km and 10dt for the 10km. Registrations or sports bib pick-ups are not possible on the day of the run. Any file will be considered incomplete if it does not include all the documents and information on the form.
Article 4 – Time limits : The time limit allowed to runners to complete the race is 1 hour for the 5Km run and 2 hours for the 10Km run. Beyond this time, safety is no longer assured on the course, any runner who exceeds the allowed time limit will not be classified.
Article 5 – Refreshment points : The 10Km run has a refreshment point, a sponge station, and a third nutritional point located at the finish line. The 5Km run has one refreshment point located at the finish line.
Article 6 – Classifications : An automatic timing system as well as controls during the run will be set up in order to establish a general classification and classifications by category and by gender. Judges will be appointed by the Tunisian Athletics Federation (FTA) to direct the run and validate the results. Federal technical officials will be also present along the running course to ensure the regularity of the races.
Article 7 – Prizes and awards : After the run, all finishers will receive a FINISHER medal as an award. Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in each run as follows:
- 1.2Km: 3 boys and 3 girls (aged 6-12)
- 5 Km: 3 men and 3 women (aged 14 to 34)
3 men and 3 women (aged 40-50)
3 men and 3 women (aged 50 to 60)
3 men and 3 women (60 years and older)
- 10Km: 3 men and 3 women (aged 18-34)
3 men and 3 women (aged 40-50)
3 men and 3 women (aged 50 to 60)
3 men and 3 women (60 years and older)
NB. If necessary the judge can ask the unlicensed participants to present an ID before validating the podium.
Article 8 – Commitment : Any runner who attempts to give his or her bib number to a third party will be disqualified and will be held responsible in case of an accident occurring or caused by the latter during the event. The organization declines all responsibility in case of accident in this type of situation. The sports bib must be worn and fully visible at all time during the race.
Article 9 – Race safety : Medical services will be provided by ambulances at the start and finish line of the run as well as on the course. Runners will participate under their own responsibility. In case of accident or physical failure due to poor health, participants are solely responsible and will have no appeal against the organizers. The medical services will be authorized to remove any participant who seems unfit to continue the run or who is clearly at risk.
Article 10 – Acceptance of the use of images : All participants expressly authorize the organizers of the OOREDOO NIGHT RUN By Xiaomi, as well as their partners, to use the photos, videos and/or any other type of audiovisual material in which they may appear, taken during the OOREDOO NIGHT RUN By Xiaomi, in all media, including promotional and/or advertising documents, throughout the world and for the longest period of time provided for by law, regulations, and treaties in force, including any extensions that may be made to this period of time.
